Local Safety Standards & Regulations

Products sold by Gempler's are designed to meet stated U.S. safety standards and regulations. Because local safety standards and regulations vary significantly, Gempler's cannot guarantee that our products meet all applicable requirements in each locality. The purchaser assumes all responsibility for compliance with safety standards and regulations in those localities in which the products will be shipped, sold and used.


We take great care in filling, checking and packing your order. On rare occasions, a package may be damaged or lost in transit. If a truck shipment is damaged, please note the damage on the delivery receipt. Then call us at 1-800-382-8473.

Shipping Hazardous Products

Products requiring special handling per D.O.T. regulations will require additional shipping charges. For specific details call 1-800-382-8473.

Credit Cards

We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover® and GSA SmartPay®, for fax, phone, mail and web orders.

Check or Money Order

Payment may be made with check or money order when ordering by mail. Payment must be made in U.S. dollars. Please do not send cash through the mail.

Open Account

To qualify for open account you must have annual sales over $2500 and 4 or more orders within a 12-month period paid via credit card.

If I meet the criteria above, what's next?
If you qualify, please contact [email protected] to request open account and include your Gempler’s account number. Your request will be reviewed within 48 hours. Gempler’s reserves the right to approve or deny your request for open account.

Once approved, how often is my credit limit evaluated?
Credit limits are reviewed annually based upon the qualifications above and timely payment history. Gempler’s reserves the right to change or revoke credit limits at any time

Are consumers eligible for Open Account?
Open Account is only available for businesses.

Sales Tax & Tax Exempt

Sales Tax

Gempler's is required to charge state and local tax on items shipped to addresses within the following state(s): AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.

Tax Exempt

If you are tax exempt and your account doesn't reflect your tax exempt status, please email your tax exempt certificate to [email protected]. We will get you set up on the website.

  • Click the red button for View Your Order
  • You will go to a screen that will show status.


Option 2: only for registered users

  • Click the red link on the order you want to view the status of
  • Scroll down to Order Status


Option 3: once your order has shipped

  • Use the tracking link provided in your Ship Confirmation Email.

All prices published on our website are in U.S. dollars and must be paid in U.S. dollars.

NOTE: In the event of a pricing error, Gemplers reserves the right to charge the correct price. We also reserve the right to change prices without notice should market commodity conditions unforeseeably change.

You won't pay standard shipping and handling costs on any orders for the next 12 months. You'll start saving on shipping charges after just a few orders. Enjoy the convenience of ordering what you want, when you want it - there is no need to consolidate or build up orders.

Standard Ground Shipping

Our fair shipping rates and estimated delivery times vary by total order weight and geographic location (see map).


We ship Monday-Friday. Orders placed over the weekend or a holiday will be processed the next business day.

Transit times on items shipping directly from the manufacturer will vary. For exact delivery dates, contact Customer Service at 1-800-382-8473 or [email protected]

You may also choose to send your order with Next Day or Second Day delivery. Charges are calculated at checkout.

Items too large or heavy for FedEx may be shipped via truck. Shipping charges will be quoted when you place your order or shortly thereafter via phone or email.

Hazardous and oversized items will incur additional shipping charges.

Orders are shipped FOB Janesville, WI, or factory, at our discretion unless otherwise agreed to by Gempler's. We prepay and add shipping charges.

When can I return a product purchased from Gempler's?

You can return products within 30 days of receiving your order. We ask that the product is in new condition and in its original packaging.
A credit for the item(s) will be applied to the original payment method.

If you receive a product that is defective or damaged due to shipping, please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-382-8473 within 2 days of receipt. We'll be more than happy to help you make it right.

Are there any exceptions to the return policy?

Yes, there are certain instances when a product is non-returnable:

  • Special-ordered products
  • Customized products
  • Clearance items
  • Hazardous products or products once used with hazardous materials.

Due to the unusually high demand and limited supply of the following items, we are not accepting returns on these items:

• Coveralls

• Respirators

• Hand sanitizer


How do I return a product?

Any product you return must be in new condition and in its original packaging within 30 days of receipt. Returns require an RMA number, please give us a call at 800-382-8473, to get your return started today!


Send the product(s) via the carrier of your choice. Once we receive the item(s) back and they are inspected, a credit will be issued to you.

1. Does PPE and Safety wear qualify for a free return?

Due to health & safety concerns, unusually high demand, and limited supplies for these items, we are unable to accept returns for safety items like coveralls, gloves and facemasks.


2. Can I return embroidered or heat-pressed items?

Due to the customized personalization on these items, we are unable to accept returns for any embroidered or heat-pressed items.


3. Are hats and socks considered Clothing and Footwear?

Yes. We consider hats and socks Clothing and Footwear and may be returned. Yay!
